Recipe: Vanilla protein waffles

What you need for 1 waffle:

  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein
  • 40 grams oats
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Some butter

What you need for the topping:

  • Low-fat quark (curd cheese)
  • 3 tbsp mango chunks
  • 1 tbsp pomegranate seeds
  • Coconut grater

What you do:

  1. Pre-heat your waffle iron.
  2. Put the oats in a blender and blend to a finer powder. Add the egg whites, whey protein and baking powder and mix it until you've got a nice batter.
  3. Put some butter on your hot waffle iron, so your waffles will come out easily.
  4. Put the batter in you waffle iron, wait a couple of minutes (about 4-5 minutes) and check if they're nice and brown. Take it out and put it on a plate.
  5. Time for toppings! I've used a bit of low-fat quark, mango chunks and some pomegranate seeds. I finished it of with some coconut grater.
