Hotspot: Echt Alkmaar

When I went boxhopping in Alkmaar, we ended a fun day with a lovely lunch at Echt Alkmaar. Their food and drinks are home made, fresh and without unnecessary additives like artificial sweeteners etc. They work with organic ingredients from local suppliers. Real food and drinks. Pure, honest and made with love!

We started our lunch with a Power Smoothie, with almond milk, banana, dates and coconut. We could really use some power after a heavy workout!

After our smoothie we ordered food, unfortunately we had to wait a while before we got it. We were super hungry and shaking. But it was worth the wait! Debbie and I shared a burger on a spelt bun, with bacon, mayonnaise and salad. We also shared a club sandwich,  made from sourdough bread, smoked chicken, dragon aioli, avocado, bacon and rocket salad, because we couldn't choose. We had some tea with it:

I choose Fresh - A blend from lemongrass, elderflower and vanilla. Pretty tasty!

The burger was really yummy, with a lovely sauce.

The Club Sandwich, also super tasty!

We also had dessert. I choose a big slice of cheesecake. 

I definitely recommend going there, I might even come back myself and enjoy an high-tea. But when you're super hungry and you have a large stomach, the portions might be a bit small, but when you have a dessert like us, you'll go home with a full belly!
