Snippets #66: Het Hoofdgerecht

Het Hoofdgerecht is a tiny food festival on Het Stenen Hoofd in Amsterdam. Emmy and I went there last year and we had lots of fun, so we decided to make it a yearly thing. This year we brought Joyce and Wendy with us. We had a lot of wine to drink, delicious hamburgers and we danced all night long on fun music from the 90's. I can't wait for next year, I love traditions like this. Enjoy these little snippets of our evening!

Snippets #65: 909 Festival

Every year we go to this little techno festival in The Amsterdam Forest. Only one stage with some of the best techno DJ's in the world. This year was no exception. We went with the same group as last years, starting with a brunch at our place. Previous years you had to walk about 3 km before you arrived at the festival area. this year they had busses to bring us. Perfect! We had a lot of luck with the sunny weather after days of rain, so it was a perfect day. Family, friends, good music, wine and happy people, what more could a girl wish for?

Snippets of my life #59

This week I celebrated my 29th birthday for my parents, brother and sister in law. I already celebrated it for my friends the week before. So last wednesday I've made a Taco Party! It was a fun evening with my lovely family. I also made lots of lovely food, had fun with my colleagues and I dyed my hair black again!

My weekend was super busy, but fun. I went to bootcamp, where they've filmed a promo movie, I'll share the video here when it's done. I've made a delicious green smoothie, the mister did MudMasters and I photographed everybody, because I couldn't join (damn shin splints). After MudMasters the mister took me out for dinner, tapas!

Today I wanted to share some snippets from our little vacation. We didn't went out of the country this year, because we need to save up for our house, but we did went to some kind of garden house. It's from my parents in law and basically it's a little house in a big garden where they grow their own fruit and veggies. It's a studio and it has a little kitchen, bathroom, a bed and a living area. Perfect to spend some days away from home and have a little vacation. We had a lot of rain, but we enjoyed ourself anyway.

Snippets of my life #57

Hey there! It's sunday evening already, so time to share some Snippets of my life again. This week was really sunny and warm, which I think is awesome. I went to my work on my bicycle often. I've received more books, did a 9 km interval training in the heat and I went to a local recreation area with my brother and sis in law on my free friday!

On friday the Mister and I celebrated our 2 year 'dating anniversary. He surprised me with a huge bouquet of roses (24 red and one white) and tickets to Boom Chicago. We went out for sushi in Amsterdam and went to the show 'Attack of the Killer Bikes' at Boom Chicago. It was hilarious and I had a super fun night out!

The rest of the weekend was fun too. Chilling in the sunshine, a birthday party from a friend, a 13 km run through the forest of Castricum with my running buddies and relaxing the rest of the day by drinking tea, reading books and eating delicious spelt cookies the Mister bought me. At the end of this sunday we went to my in-laws garden where we chilled some more and had a delicious barbecue.

This week was awesome.

Wow, it's been a while since the last Snippets post! I've decided to share some more personal stuff a while ago. So the Snippets of my life are perfect for this. Above is a selection from my photos of last monday to friday. A delicious rice cracker lunch, the Mister who's cooking for us, visiting Fiene and giving her the name painting I've made, dinner at the garden, watching soccer with Jorrit and Emmy.

I've started this weekend with bootcamp. It was very hot so I needed that cold smoothie! I've bought some skull bottles for me and Melissa, I went tanning with 3 friends in a local recreation area, made a lovely dinner and on sunday we went to Doel, for some Urban Exploring! The photos will be on my blog soon!
